Methods & Implementation

Over the next couple weeks we’ll be tackling the most common Bird Control Questions! There’s a lot of information out there and not all of it is good or effective.

With 30 years of experience, we can tell you what does and does not work + why we choose a specific techniques and methods that we do!

Q: With methods do you use for industrial bird control?

A: We use a combination of deterrents such as birds spikes, nets, and shock track. There are specific situations where we decide that laser deterrence is most effective.

You’ll sometimes see visual scare devices, as well as, more advanced solutions like sonic and ultrasonic repellers recommended. HOWEVER, we have found they aren’t effective in long term management. Birds get used to these methods, especially if they are nesting and they become completely ineffective.

It’s important to us that you have long-term solutions that allow you to get the most from your investment. That is why we opt to do spikes, netting, and shock track in most all bird control situations.

Q: How long does it take to implement bird control measures?

A: The implementation time varies depending on the size and complexity of your facility. Most installations can be completed within a few days to a week. Large industrial districts and facilities can take a couple of weeks.

There are a lot of factors that can go into each and every job. We look at every facility that we do and make sure that we execute the best possible methods in a timely fashion. Our team is thoroughly trained and extremely efficient and what they do without cutting quarters or jeopardizing quality.

Once installation and implementation is complete, we do recommend occasional maintenance to ensure long-term effectiveness in your birth control measures. This also protects your investment long-term. Our suggestions for this are on a case by case basis and depend on the installation techniques that we use for your particular facility.
